Otl Aicher was one of the most significant designers of post-war Germany. His influence on this period goes far beyond his work in the field of design.He was, for example, a founder member and later principal of the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Ulm, an academy which understood design to be integral and interdisciplinary with a responsibility towards politics and society.He developed the corporate design for the Olympic Games in Munich which through him became the »happy games« of 1972.He also created corporate images for Braun, Lufthansa, FSB, Erco and others, many of which have remained unchanged.With his stringency and capacity for integrated...
